1. Data We Collect

Granveo stores the interests, topics, and resource items you create so we can render your knowledge map across sessions. We also keep minimal account metadata (name, email, authentication provider id) for login purposes. We do not sell or share this information with third parties.

2. Google Account Integration

When you sign in with Google, we request access to specific data from your Google account. Here are the scopes we request and why:

  • openid, email, profile: Used for authentication and account creation. This allows us to identify you, create your Granveo account, and display your name and profile picture.
  • Gmail (Send only - gmail.send): We request permission to send emails on your behalf solely for the purpose of sending friend invitations from within Granveo. We cannot read your emails, access your inbox, or send emails to anyone other than the specific recipients you invite. You control when and to whom invitation emails are sent.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Granveo's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings under "Third-party apps with account access." This will not delete your Granveo data, but you will need to use email/password login or reconnect your Google account to access it.

3. AI Transparency

Granveo uses artificial intelligence to enhance your knowledge mapping experience. Here is what you should know about our AI usage:

  • AI Provider: We use Fireworks AI (fireworks.ai) as our primary AI inference provider. We specifically use the accounts/fireworks/routers/kimi-k2p5-turbo model for processing requests.
  • What data is processed: When you use AI-powered features (such as chat analysis, topic suggestions, file summarization, or smart organization), the relevant content you provide (chat messages, file content, topic names, etc.) is sent to Fireworks AI for processing. This data is processed in real-time and is not retained by Fireworks AI or used to train their models.
  • AI Features: AI is used for analyzing chat conversations, summarizing uploaded documents and files, generating topic suggestions, and assisting with content organization and hierarchy.
  • Your control: AI features are optional. You can use Granveo without ever using AI-powered features. When AI is used, you always have the final control over what gets added to your knowledge map.
  • Accuracy: AI-generated content may not always be perfect. We encourage you to review and verify AI suggestions before accepting them into your knowledge map.

4. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide the mapping experience, personalize onboarding, and improve product reliability. Aggregated analytics help us understand feature usage but never expose individual content.

5. Storage & Security

We rely on encrypted storage for all persisted data. Client-side state is cached in your browser so you can quickly resume work, and you can clear it anytime by logging out or clearing local storage.

6. Your Controls

You may export or delete your data by contacting sahil@granveo.com. Deleting your account erases all associated content from our systems within 30 days.
